Created and led by Silvia Martini and Silvia Vajente in collaboration with Associazione VisCantus, Recicanto is an innovative and playful workshop, meant to introduce children aged 6+ and their families to the exciting world of opera. By exploring in a simple way the language of Music and Theater, together we shall discover how fun it is to explore the stories and the fascination offered by the extraordinary cultural heritage of Opera.

During the workshop, the children become the characters of a specific opera, listening to original music passages and adapting the original plot upon them, learning to sing in choral form some of the most poignant passages. In this way, they end up staging a real opera, in a real theater, before a real audience. And by exploring music through the training of their own voice and musical ear, they learn to release their creativity, to socialize, and to let the world of classical music captivate them through their voice and their bodies.
